We make small games. The latest one is about a cult that worships the Metal Bird.
fun.ga is a small independent studio. autoMates, our latest game, is in closed alpha and plays in the browser.

autoMates
A plane landed on the island once. Only the tail is left, and the islanders built a fire under it.
You never give anyone an order. You draw one-way Paths on the ground and the followers walk them. Where a Path passes a hut, whoever walks it picks something up, drops it off or gets to work. Grass becomes rope, rope becomes nets, and sooner or later everything goes into the fire.
The fire grows, its light pushes back the fog, and the people standing out in the dark come over and join. There are 78 of them, each with a name, a face and opinions about your Paths.
Alpha keys go out on Discord, a few at a time.
Earlier games
Browser, Facebook, Android and Rune games from 2012 to 2024, several of them made for brands. Most can no longer be played, so the links go to pictures and trailers.
What we like making
Small worlds, people with names and the music they make, mostly played in the browser.
Little worlds that run on their own
We grew up following one sack of flour from the mill to the bakery in The Settlers. We like economies you can watch: a town mining and trading in Tap Tap West, and in autoMates every coconut, rope and radio carried by a follower you can see.
People you know by name
We would rather you knew 78 followers than managed a million. In autoMates each one joins by name, has a face, a voice and opinions about your Paths, grumbles at whoever blocks the way and says good morning when you come back.
Rules you start to believe in
We like it when a game’s rules stop feeling like rules and turn into how the world works. In autoMates the plane’s tail is the Metal Bird, the fire is its Nest and the fog hides everyone who hasn’t joined yet, so walking a coconut to the fire feels like the obvious thing to do.
Music made by the game
In autoMates nothing plays from a playlist. Every hut has its own drum and plays it while someone works there, the fire hums a chord of whatever was burned, and the followers talk in a made-up language on the beat. A busy island sounds like a band, and a jammed one sounds like it too.
Short rules, long puzzles
We like a rule you get in a second and then turn over for an evening. Power of Two takes the merging of 2048 and gives every level a board of its own shape, new kinds of tiles and its own goal.
Made for the browser, out in the open
Most of what we make plays in a browser, built with the same React and TypeScript we use at work. Spooky Cookie took third place at React Jam, and its code, like Power of Two’s, is on GitHub for anyone who wants to see how a game is put together.
Who we are
Small enough to fit on one card each.
